November 19th trip to Montesano.

Wow, it has been a while since I posted updates on here. So sorry to be so lax. Everett finally got the carport project completed and then it was time for us to take a short trip to Washington. We got our reservations made to fly out of Anchorage on a 'redeye' flight during the very early hours of Saturday the 19th of November. This was the weekend before Thanksgiving. Everett and I arrived in Seatac just before 5 o'clock in the morning. We got our rental car and headed down the highway to Hoquiam where we were going to stay for the 4 day visit. A very sweet woman named Elaine had mailed us the key to her home and gave us full use of it during her absence. We got our things settled, went shopping for 'wedding duds' and then headed for the church. Our eldest granddaughter was about to become a bride.  It just doesn't seem like over 20 years has gone by since I was in Hoquiam and witnessing the birth of this beautiful child who was about to become a Mrs.   Wow time flies.
Now it was an event at the River of Life Ministries in Aberdeen. There was a great turnout of witnesses for this blessed event.  Tessa Brienna Barre was joining her life and love to Elijah Enoch Johnson.

A totally surprise guest --Uncle Anthony Lee Nelson
Tessa 'posing' for grandma before the vows

There was a totally unexpected arrival right before the ceremony was to begin.  My youngest son Anthony Lee Nelson arrived from Alaska to surprise Tessa and the rest of us as well.  A couple of days earlier he was in Kasilof at his home when I spoke to him.   A sudden change in circumstances and a favor for a friend brought him to Spokane and ultimately to the wedding in Washington.  He has a friend who needed his vehicle driven to Alaska for him and the timing was perfect for a surprise.
The wedding itself was such a lovely and unique ceremony.  Aliss sang a lovely song for them, Sophie and Hannah were flower girls and Zack was so handsome as a groomsmen. I have been blessed with some talented and resourceful grandchildren.  Now we have added another member to the family...welcome Elijah!!!!
