Moving right along......

Moving right along with the carport project...Everett had Friday off from work since it was Veteran's Day and that is a union holiday. He got to come home on Thursday after work...Niiiice!  On Friday after getting some snow moved out of the way, the carport project was on again....a whole lot of measuring, cutting, nailing and ladder climbing.  I swear this man thinks he part chimpanzee the way he moves around at over 20 feet up in the air!

 It's not easy to maintain your balance on a plank while you manipulate the next board in to place and then nail it to the joist hanger. they had a very busy Friday and Saturday doing this.

Then along came Sunday...after getting more plowing and shoveling done it was time to start cutting blocks and boards again. My 'radio flyer' wagon got involved as a helper with this part. It hauled the nails, blocks, and smaller items to the area where they needed to be used.

 Sunday was a huge leap forward in the process. all of the pre-measure and cut came in to play and getting the spacers and braces and joists in to hanger went along very quickly. They go an awful lot accomplished before they had to call it quits and do other things to get ready for the work week ahead.  They sure did get a lot done....
