Hello to all from Sterling, Alaska....we have managed to gain some 'ground cover' over the past couple of days. A couple of days ago the lawnmower was still sitting and waiting for a chance to have the grass dry enough for ONE more mowing before winter...Ha ha ha...it can double as a snow catcher now with its' bagging capabilities...Or not...Maybe just sweep the snow off and put her in the green house for next summer....Any ways...Thursday we got a bit of snow and then Friday it continued a bit...last night (Saturday) it ganged up with the 'set your clocks back an hour' and brought an additional 3 inches so now Everett has something on his normal list that jumped ahead of all else in line...plow time before carport construction time.
Snow on the BBQ and all else...it does not discriminate due to season of use...You can see the carport project behind snowmachine shed....to the left of it is a 'plume'. It is the exhaust from the plow truck warming up for the morning. Everett is out there getting ready to clear a one-way lane for my car to get up the hill from the lower garage and for getting in and out of the driveway. For those of you not familiar with our driveway...it is over 600 feet long. he is just intending to do the minimum plowing before getting back to putting the saw and nails to the boards for the carport structure.
Of course it is Sunday so it is the day he has to head back to Anchorage for the next week of work. He is sort of stoked because next Friday is Veteran's Day and a Plumber's Union holiday. He gets to come home on Thursday after work...woo hooo...
Time is flying by this month and speaking of flying...two weeks from yesterday we fly to Seattle for our granddaughter's wedding...wow...time flies!!
