Today the sun is out playing hide and seek with the clouds and this is the day that the kids have soccer in town. We will go in and pick Hayli up at her school and go to the store and the post office and do a few chores. Steve has a massage appt. and then Max has one afterwards. I have a foot reflexology followed by an ionic foot soak as a gift certificate from Steve and Tannis for Mother’s Day. It’s a full day today. Tomorrow will be busy since that is Max’s 5th birthday. We have a lot of balloons to blow up and a new radio flyer wagon to assemble and cupcakes to decorate.

Friday, May 20th
Today is the day that Max gets to be totally stoked…birthday #5 and lots of friends and family to wish him happiness. There is no school today so we get a head start on the party time. We are going to a local park that has a play area and fire pit for hot dogs and room for lots of kids and their parents to gather.
Nana brought Max a helium filled soccer ball shaped balloon that decided to go for the sky right away…up, up and away….

After the initial shock, attention was taken by lots of kids to run around with and have fun while the rest of the things got set up.
Huff and puff and blow the candles out!!

Everyone had a great time playing around, eating cake and hitting the football piñata till it broke open.
Many hotdogs and then the cheddar smokies and jalapeño smokies were roasted ove
r the fire. You can see the smoke following Steve’s dog as he pulls it from the fire. Uncle Todd is keeping his distance from the fire. Just as we finished all of the fun and got the site cleaned up the dark clouds rolled in and as we drove away the rain started to fall. We headed to the house. They live at the 3,000 foot elevation level above Clearwater. Nana came up to the house to spend a couple of days with us too.
Max got so many gifts that it will take days to go back through them and let it all sink in and figure out what is what..
